More than 30 years ago, while John and Claudia Ortiz were in the market to buy a grill, they noticed that their options were limited to mass merchant grills that are only meant to last a season or two. Because they wanted to put their money to good use, they searched for other options. When they couldn't find anything to suit their needs, they decided to do something about it.

In 1993, the duo founded The Grill House Company in Wilmington, NC specializing in high-quality grills and everything BBQ-oriented. Ever since its opening, they have grown their business and become the go-to grilling experts in the Wilmington area. From quality gas, electric, and charcoal grills, to island-customization, grill parts, propane tanks and RV refills, patio spinners, grilling accessories, and more, they have helped thousands of customers and counting in South Eastern North Carolina.
